Caffeine Does Irritate Your Symptoms
I have drank maybe a coke before and not have it bother me. However, when I drink coffee at work and I have Klonopin running through my system – I better be ready for a major disorientation. Let’s put it this way – caffeine and Klonopin don’t mix.
Again, I’m not talking about having a couple of coca-colas that doesn’t pack a lot of caffeine into it – but I’m talking about either coffee or Mountain Dew. Stay away from them! Also No-Doz. You might be one of the lucky people that can take Klonopin and caffeine at the same time. Good for you. However, for the majority of people suffering from Klonopin Withdrawal Symptoms, it is not advisable.
What it does is cancels out the Klonopin as if you didn’t take it at all. In my case, it makes my symptoms worse. I also have major OCD periods where I’m afraid that I said something to a person that I should not have said – but in reality, I didn’t.
If you had a rough night sleeping and your dragging your butt at work the day after (like I often do), what I do is get a small coffee and empty out half of it. It’s enough to get me going (or at least keep me awake) and not have the crazy side effects.
