Meditation Script

The following is somewhat of a script to help you learn how to meditation (or do self-hypnosis) in order to overcome Klonopin, Xanax or any kind of benzodiazepines withdrawal symptoms:

I thought it would be best to show you how to meditate if you don’t know how. The script below can walk you through in helping you relax your mind and body. In a nutshell, mental visualization of doing certain things over and over again is incorporated into your mind and you begin to believe these thoughts. The more meditation you do – the better off you will be. I’m not promising that this will completely heal you of all your symptoms, but they can be greatly reduced if done properly and over a period of time.

Meditation Instructions (or what some call self-hypnosis) can be done by the following:

Find a room where you won’t be disturbed. Beforehand, I would at least buy some earplugs, but better yet, buy a cd that has relaxing, quiet music. While your at it, purchase some solid headphones that can block external sounds. Once that is all setup, and you are in your “quiet room”, dim or turn off the lights, sit in a comfortable chair (or lie on a bed) and relax. Also, make sure you loosen your clothes so you feel totally comfortable.

Now inhale and exhale deeply at least five times – then relax your forehead.

Keep breathing deeply and concentrate on inhaling and exhaling.

Relax the back of your neck. Imagine all the muscles of your neck being warm and this relaxation traveling down to your shoulders.

Now keep breathing deeply. Relax your chest and your stomach. Don’t try to relax – just let it happen.

The next thing you want to do is relax your lower back. Now let this warm feeling concentrate in there and then letting it travel down to your buttocks and now towards your legs.

Keep concentrating on breathing deeply. Inhale and exhale three times and then you can concentrate on your calves and your feet. Relax these limbs.

Now your whole body is relaxed. Now you want to relax your mind.

Picture yourself on a beach. Feel the sun’s warmth on your face and feel the sand between your toes. Look around you at the palm trees and then look back at the ocean. Watch the seagulls fly above the waves while a small wind blows your way – making you forget all your problems.

Walk the beach and now relax both body and mind if it isn’t already. You are somewhere else now and no longer at your previous place. Your mind is totally relaxed and your worries are all gone.

Now you want to visualize yourself in a situation that usually triggers your Klonopin Withdrawal Symptom - or any other type of benzodiazepines symptoms. Just see yourself as normal as possible, enjoying life, free from any kind of pain. You can, if you want, visualize going through every day life without the Klonopin or Xanax withdrawal symptoms.

Now one last thing. Once you have taken your time thinking what it would be like without all this suffering, visualize yourself with the bottle of Klonopin or Xanax in your hand, and throwing it into a lake – where you watch from a bridge sinking deep down into the water, never to be seen again.

Now – you are ready to come back up out of your meditation. On the count of three, you will wake up.

One – you are waking up, feeling refreshed.

Two – you are read to face the day with great optimism.

And Three – open your eyes – you are now wide awake.
