Xanax Withdrawal Side Effects & How to Get off Xanax

Here is a list of Xanax Withdrawal Symptoms. I will start with the ones I personally experience and then move onto other symptoms that people have had while taking Xanax. To tell you the truth, the symptoms between Xanax and Klonopin along with other medications within the Benzo family are pretty much the same.

  • Disorientation – The only way I can describe this is that you feel like you have a medicine head – or your head feels heavy.
  • Twitching – this can effect most muscles, but mostly the face for me.
  • Stuttering
  • Anxious – It’s amazing, I began taking this medication because I was anxious, and I ended up being more anxious than before.
  • Temporary Memory Loss – This happens with all Benzo type meds and I experienced it before. I noticed that I would forget the names of items at work or around the house. Not good at all.
  • Headaches – I couldn’t take enough aspirin…just simply never helped.
  • Nausea – Didn’t really notice this as much, but perhaps every now and then.
  • Moodiness – Experienced this big time…I wanted to withdrawal from society. I’m surprised my wife stuck with me.
  • Nightmares – Didn’t experience this but again read cases where people would have this.
  • Hallucination – I never experienced this…
